2019 June Senior Luncheon
Dick warms us up
Three ladies check guests in
For the second time this year Broadway Gardens in South Portland were willing to come and share knowledge and develop interest in plants and gardens. Raychell Libby, one of the staff at the Gardens was the speaker on this occasion. She brought with her a number of plants that the attendees were anxious to pick up and take home to their own gardens. Additionally she brought with her a number of plant specimens that she showed how to work with and the types of soil and other soil enhancers that are useful in home gardens.

The community is well represented after the callers have gotten in touch with the local senior community that appears to be growing. Many come because a number of their friends and new acquaintances have indicated they wouldn’t miss this once a month activity that is not only well attended by the local community but also members of the church that are willing to come and assist in serving, preparing the meal and also to set up and take down the chairs and table for this monthly event.
