The program is designed for individuals and families to get to a place in their finances--and lives- characterized by grace, joy and freedom. The program gives all attendees the opportunity to get to that place in their lives through the application of Biblical Principles.
Members of other churches who are faced with financial issues are encouraged to attend. It is also possible for folks representing finance committees who would like to bring this program to their own churches to be trained in how to use it.
We expect that Gary Melville of the United Methodist Foundation of New England will be with us to assist and support the operation of this new program.
Each person or family will need to have a copy of the Prework Booklet and a copy of the Participant's Guidebook. The materials will be available at the Seminar. The leader of the session will have the use of a DVD to run through a 6 Session format. The program is often given in 6 weekly hour installments or in the same format that we will be using for this Friday night and Saturday seminar.
Costs for attendance and participation are related to the material and a lunch only. $15 will pay for the participant guidebook and the Prework booklet. A husband and wife team need only one copy of each. Lunch on Saturday can be purchased for $3 a person. It will be necessary for materials purposes and food ordering to have registrants indicate their attendance via e-mail to Jamie or Gwyneth Arrison at thearrisons@peoplesumc.com or Discipleship Chairma, Art Tordoff at atordof1@maine.rr.com or by phone at 1-207-799-6814 by Tuesday, March 17. Earlier reservations would be helpful in determining how many guidebooks, booklets and food we will need.
Folks who have gone through the Good $ense program before have all felt that it was worth it and fun to be with others at the same time.
