Heifer International Presentation

If you didn't attend this past Sunday's Worship Service, you missed a treat. Merrill Kaiser and Rosemary Herd gave a presentation on Heifer International and the children dressed for the occasion. Ellen Dunn led the choir in song.(See pictures)

Heifer International is an organization whose mission is to make a difference in the lives of struggling families around the globe. Globe banks and calendars were handed out to those who wanted to participate. The idea is that each day you see how fortunate you are by looking at the calendar. It will tell you to count certain items in your house. For example, on a Thursday, you count the number of eggs in your refrigerator. For each egg you count, put 5 cents in the Globe bank. The more fortunate you are, the more you put in your globe bank. With a number of people doing this, farm animals can be purchased for families in need.

In the pictures, who can you identify? Sammy, Isaac, Nathan, Caleb, Samantha, Melinda and Sawyer. The costumes were on loan by Andy Foley's mother.

For more information, see Merrill Kaiser.

Thank you to all who participated in this ongoing project.
