The Peoples UMC Chili-Chowder Challenge on Sunday, April 10 served as a wonderful fund-raiser for the June 2011 mission trip to inner city Wilmington, Delaware, and also a fun time with great food. . There were three chili and three chowder entries, and all were excellent! There were also bread bowls donated so that folks could eat more of their favorite or take home for later. Channel 8 even came in for a short interview with Fred Wade who headed up the event. The fundraiser generated $233, but most importantly was lots of fun for all ages. Chili Chowder Challenge Great Success
